Social Media Manager
About the role:
The Sage Group’s client, an AI research company focused on developing safe, interpretable, and reliable artificial intelligence systems that benefit humanity, is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Social Media Manager to join the rapidly growing Marketing team. As we scale our AI Tools’ organic social presence, you’ll be instrumental in executing the content strategy across platforms while maintaining day-to-day operations.
You will own social media execution—from writing posts and coordinating with product teams to posting and reporting to management. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments where strategic thinking meets hands-on execution. Responsibilities:

Write compelling social copy for product & company announcements
- Coordinate with marketing, product, and creative teams
- Execute daily posting across all platforms using Sprout Social

Monitor social channels for urgent issues, engagement opportunities, and emerging trends

Set up social listening for product launches and compile sentiment reports

Pull and distribute social media performance reports to stakeholders across the company
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 4-6 years of experience in social media management, preferably at high-growth technology companies
- Are exceptionally organized with the ability to juggle multiple product launches and stakeholder requests simultaneously
- Have strong copywriting skills with experience translating technical product features into engaging social content
- Are operationally-minded and thrive on building systems and processes that scale
- Have hands-on experience with social media management tools (Sprout Social preferred) and project management platforms (Asana preferred)
- Excel at cross-functional collaboration and managing stakeholder expectations in fast-moving environments
- Can work independently while proactively communicating and escalating when needed
- Are available to work US hours with some flexibility across time zones
Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience supporting B2B and product-led social strategies at tech companies
- Background working with product marketing teams on technical launches
- Data analysis skills and ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
- Experience with visual content tools (Canva, Figma) and basic content creation
- Previous contractor or agency experience managing multiple clients or workstreams
Contract Length:
6 months, with the likelihood of extension
Location: Remote in SF or NY preferred
Rate: $ 125 pay, W-2 with benefits offered
