B2B Content Marketing Manager
About the role:
The Sage Group is seeking a strategic-minded B2B Content Marketing Manager for our client, a very well-known start-up which has built a next-generation AI assistant trained to be safe, accurate, and secure to help you do your best work. As they scale their enterprise go-to-market efforts, you’ll be instrumental in creating the compelling technical content that drives awareness and adoption of their API and enterprise AI solutions.
In this contractor role, you’ll help shape content strategy and execution for B2B audiences—from CxOs to developers—reporting to the Head of Content Marketing. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and storytelling excellence, bringing complex AI concepts to life for enterprise audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Shape end-to-end content strategy for B2B audiences, from content ideation through publication
- Write high-quality thought leadership and user-focused content including ebooks, guides, case studies, and blog articles under tight deadlines
- Manage product blog and Resources Hub content calendar, collaborating with PMM, engineering, growth, and product teams
- Provide narrative guidance for technical video shoots and product demos
- Oversee technical content agency partnerships and manage content production roadmap
- Partner with growth, design, and lifecycle teams to optimize content distribution across channels
- Develop and manage developer newsletter and email marketing content
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 8+ years of experience in B2B content marketing at technology companies
- Are an exceptional writer and editor with proven ability to translate complex technical concepts
- Have direct experience creating content for developer audiences
- Can work autonomously and drive projects from conception to completion
- Excel at building relationships and collaborating across product, engineering, and marketing teams
- Thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
Strong candidates may also have:
- Background in B2B SaaS companies, particularly in AI/ML, data, or developer tools
- Experience with content management platforms (Sanity, Webflow) and marketing automation tools (Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Portfolio demonstrating technical depth and business impact
- Track record of building content programs that drive measurable outcomes
Duration:
6 Months, contract to hire potential
Location: SF or NYC, hybrid
Pay Rate: $135 – $155/hr
