Sales Operations Analyst
The Sage Group is seeking a sales ops analyst to work within our client’s Go-to-Market Operations (GTM Operations) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales quotas globally as well as assisting the sales pipeline team. In addition, there may be an opportunity for additional sales data and analytics projects as they arise.
The GTM Operations team supports the sales organization through analytics, deal management, and business processes that enable them to sell products and services to organizations of all sizes across the globe. The development of best-in-class sales compensation plans is a key motivator for the sales organization, and plan details receive visibility at the highest levels of the company. The execution of sales plays is a critical piece of the work in building a pipeline for the client’s products. In this role, you must be comfortable with ambiguity, disciplined in execution, and enjoy regularly interfacing with sales team members.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Sr. Director, Sales Compensation, Sr. Sales Comp Analyst, and accounting team to support the ongoing monthly quota management process with a focus in two areas:
- Executing quota setting process for AEs and Sales Management
- Executing quota setting process for all other overlay roles (e.g., Solution Engineers, Renewals team)
Work with global operations team members and accounting teams to coordinate and ensure proper onboarding of sales quotas each month
Partner closely with Sr Director, Sales Strategy and Operations and Sales Play team members to support the ongoing sales plays efforts, including:
Executing on large scale Sales Play sends and launches on behalf of the Sales team and leaders
Mapping data sources to align customer and account data in sales play messaging
Partner closely with Sr. Director, Sales Compensation and Sr. Director, Sales Strategy and Operations on specific data related cleaning and/or data analytics projects
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4+ years in sales compensation design, sales operations, and/or sales finance
- Business or technical undergraduate degree
- Comfort in using MSFT Excel with intermediate formula knowledge (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/Nested IF, IFERROR, INDEX and MATCH)

- Strong bias for action: You have an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity and natural perseverance
- A natural team player: We are a small team so you should be comfortable helping wherever it is needed
- Experience working in a fast-growing sales organization preferred
- Experience working with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools such as Xactly a plus
- Experience working with Tableau and SQL a plus
- Experience working with Salesforce a plus
Location: Redwood City, CA OR Austin, TX – Hybrid (3x/week)
Duration: 6 months, potential to extend/convert
Compensation: $40/hour
