Regional Operations & Project Manager – Manufactured Housing
Location: Hybrid onsite in Walnut Creek, CA – Travel Required Throughout California

Salary: $110,000 – $120,000/year
Position Summary
The Sage Group’s client, a leading California Multifamily Real Estate Investment Company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Operations & Project Manager – Manufactured Housing to oversee and elevate the performance of our manufactured housing communities throughout California. This pivotal role blends operational oversight with hands-on project management, ensuring our properties achieve the highest standards in quality, compliance, and resident satisfaction. The position is based in Walnut Creek, CA, with regular travel to sites across the state.
Key Responsibilities

Project Management
- Lead capital improvement initiatives including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and maintenance planning.
- Create and maintain10-year Capital Improvement Plans for each property with detailed ROI analysis and timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Negotiate contracts and manage permitting and compliance documentation.

Financial Oversight
- Monitor financial performance and operational KPIs to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost savings.
- Prepare and present financial/operational reports to senior management and ownership.
- Conduct market and property performance analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Process invoices and apply basic accounting principles as needed.

Property & Compliance Oversight
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, maintenance standards, and resident satisfaction are upheld.
- Ensure all communities comply with local/state regulations for manufactured housing (including Title25 and HUD requirements).
- Identify and mitigate liability risks through proactive oversight of facilities and operations.

Team Development & Leadership
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate on-site community management staff.
- Set clear performance expectations and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Sustain effective communication between the corporate office and community sites.

Resident Experience & Community Engagement
- Cultivate a resident-first culture focused on long-term occupancy and satisfaction.
- Resolve escalated resident concerns promptly and professionally.

Operational Leadership
- Directly manage Community Managers across multiple communities to ensure operational excellence.
- Review/manage community-level budgets in alignment with ownership goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ multi-site property management experience; manufactured housing experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing renovation/capital improvement projects from concept to completion.
- Adept at vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Keen understanding of mobile home residency law (Title25), HUD/manufactured housing regulations

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This role combines office-based work with frequent field visits (including construction site walkthroughs/inspections).
- Able to lift up to25 lbs. and walk/stand for extended periods during site visits.
- Able to use personal or company vehicle for travel to property sites throughout California (valid driver’s license required).
