Performance & Retail Marketing Manager
The Sage Group’s client is looking for a highly motivated Performance & Retail Marketing Manager in New York City. This person will be crucial in shaping their brand presence and driving customer engagement within their first-party physical retail stores.
You will be the primary owner of several key pillars that drive store traffic and customer experience: managing paid media performance, executing compelling in-store programming, and overseeing our global branded merchandise program. This role requires a blend of strategic marketing expertise, sharp execution, and cross-functional leadership to ensure all efforts align with core business strategies and maximize ROI.
The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional with proven experience in retail marketing who can manage complex projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:

Performance Marketing: Execute and optimize global paid media campaigns across various channels, with a deep understanding of paid media tactics to drive traffic and sales.

Hyperlocal & In-Store Programming: Support the execution of impactful in-store events and hyperlocal campaigns, from workshops to product launches, to build brand awareness and community engagement.

Branded Merchandise Program: Provide strong program management for our global branded merchandise initiatives, from implementation to execution, ensuring alignment with brand goals and contributing to sales growth.

Digital Asset Management: Manage and maintain all digital content for our retail stores, ensuring internal and external web assets (including photography and copy) are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with our brand guidelines. This includes working with community, mall, and landlord sites.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our internal Marketing and Store Operations teams, as well as external agencies, to align all marketing efforts with core business strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in retail marketing, channel marketing, or client-facing roles.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional program management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance marketing and paid media tactics.
- Demonstrated thought-leadership and strong relationship management with senior stakeholders and external agencies.
- Experience managing digital assets and content for internal and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
