Outside Sales Representative
We are a rapidly growing technology company in the on-demand delivery industry seeking a high-energy, goal-oriented Outside Sales professional to drive market expansion across the Spokane, WA region. In this freelance role, you will operate as an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML), focused on acquiring and onboarding small- to medium-sized restaurant and food & beverage partners.
This is a field-based, face-to-face sales position. You will spend the majority of your time in the market, meeting with independent restaurant owners, communicating the value of our platform, and closing transactional deals on short sales cycles. You’ll collaborate closely with a Regional Sales Manager and leverage proven sales tools, resources, and market insights to hit aggressive growth targets within a defined timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect, pitch, and close new SMB restaurant and food/beverage partners within your assigned territory, with a strong focus on in-person visits.
Expand our local footprint by traveling throughout emerging and underserved markets in the broader Spokane area.
Conduct discovery meetings with restaurant owners to understand their business needs and clearly articulate our value proposition.
Negotiate partnership terms and revenue share agreements aligned with company guidelines.
Manage a high-velocity, largely transactional sales cycle, with expectations to close new business within days.
Maintain a well-organized pipeline, document all activities in CRM tools, and accurately track performance metrics.
Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to prioritize target markets, refine outreach strategies, and provide actionable field insights.
Represent the company professionally in the field, acting as a trusted local partner to prospective merchants.
Travel & Territory Expectations:
Role is based in Spokane, WA; candidates must live within approximately 40 minutes of the city.
Regular travel throughout the territory, with most trips within roughly 2 hours of Spokane.
Occasional overnight stays and longer travel days (6–7 hours of driving and/or occasional flights) may be required.
All approved travel costs will be covered in accordance with company travel policies.
Compensation:
Employment Type: Freelance
Fixed Hourly Pay: $29/hour
Commission: Uncapped commission for each new qualified merchant partnership closed.
On-Target Earnings (OTE): Additional commission potential based on performance, with strong upside for top performers.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of successful sales experience, ideally in a closing role with SMB clients.
Experience selling into restaurants or food/beverage businesses is strongly preferred.
Comfort operating primarily in the field and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to destination markets.
Proven track record running a high-velocity, transactional sales process and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with small business owners.
Entrepreneurial, self-directed mindset with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt quickly.
Ability to use a mix of inside and outside sales tactics (phone, email, in-person visits) to drive outreach, follow-up, and closing.
Comfort using digital tools for CRM, reporting, and remote communication.
