Marketing Operations Manager – Events

The Sage Group’s Client is seeking a Marketing Operations Contractor – Events to support the Global Marketing Operations (GMOPs) team.

This role will focus on operational support for internal, proprietary, and third-party events while collaborating with cross-functional teams across marketing, events, and shared services. You’ll manage end-to-end event processes — from campaign setup and data management to lead routing, QA, and post-event reporting — ensuring accuracy, scalability, and efficiency across all event operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with stakeholders (event POC and GDC strategist) about campaign setup for tradeshows; confirm accuracy and make recommendations as needed.
  • QA the campaign tracker where all activities requiring an SFDC campaign are recorded.
  • Create or QA Salesforce (SFDC) campaigns to ensure proper setup.
  • If needed, create all SFDC campaigns.
  • Create associated Marketo programs for each tradeshow.
  • Work with stakeholders to format and QA tradeshow leads.
  • Perform a second scrub and QA of attendee lists.
  • Upload attendee lists to the SFDC campaign.
  • Verify that leads are routed correctly to the appropriate SDR team (via SFDC report).
  • Provide stakeholders or Slack channel threads with detailed breakdowns of campaign members within SFDC campaigns.
  • Address follow-up questions related to campaign data and metrics.
  • Update all relevant documentation after completion (AR, Confluence pages, etc.).
  • Attend weekly sprint meetings with the Lifecycle Marketing Operations team.

    Qualifications:

    • 3–5 years of experience in a B2B enterprise marketing operations environment; experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Swoogo, BigMarker, and Google Sheets/Excel highly desirable.
    • 1–2 years of experience supporting events in a global, high-tech environment.
    • Excellent project management skills, strong attention to detail, and adaptability to changing requirements; capable of managing multiple events simultaneously.
    • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and processing time-sensitive event data.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Ability to diagnose and address complex challenges while maintaining accuracy and meeting SLAs.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation.

    Duration: 6 months (Possibility to extend)
    Location: Remote, US
    Compensation: $70/Hour
