Job description

Copy Editor / Content QA Editor

We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Copy Editor / Content QA Editor to join our fast-paced Content team. In this role, you will serve as the final quality checkpoint for a wide variety of content, ensuring every deliverable is accurate, polished, on-brand, and ready for publication. You’ll partner closely with writers, strategists, and account teams to uphold editorial excellence across social media, brand campaigns, new business materials, and long-form content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and edit social media content, brand campaigns, long-form content, and new business materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistency, and style.

  • Ensure all content aligns with client brand voice, messaging guidelines, editorial standards, and project requirements before delivery.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews to identify inconsistencies, formatting issues, factual inaccuracies, broken links, and other publishing errors.

  • Collaborate closely with copywriters, account teams, and strategists to refine content while maintaining the original intent and creative direction.

  • Verify content accuracy and consistency across multiple deliverables, ensuring messaging remains cohesive across campaigns and platforms.

  • Review content for readability, flow, and audience appropriateness, adapting recommendations for both B2B technology and consumer-facing brands.

  • Support quality control for both organic and paid social media content, ensuring adherence to platform best practices and client expectations.

  • Work efficiently across multiple clients and projects, balancing competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Help maintain editorial style guides, quality standards, and best practices across the content team.

  • Provide thoughtful, constructive editorial feedback that helps elevate content quality and supports writer development.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of client-facing experience in copy editing, content quality assurance, editorial, or content marketing in a fast-paced agency or in-house environment.

  • Experience editing content for B2B technology clients and/or consumer-facing brands, with experience supporting Healthcare, Professional Services, and Consumer clients preferred.

  • Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, syntax, and AP Style (or comparable editorial style guides).

  • Strong ability to preserve brand voice while improving clarity, accuracy, consistency, and overall readability.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before publication.

  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing clear, actionable editorial feedback.

  • Familiarity with content management systems, collaboration tools, and AI-assisted content workflows.

Bonus Points

  • Experience editing executive thought leadership, bylined articles, or social media content for senior leaders.

  • Knowledge of SEO content best practices and content optimization.

  • Experience reviewing AI-assisted content for quality, factual accuracy, and brand alignment.

  • Passion for building editorial processes, style guides, and quality assurance best practices.
