About the role:
The Sage Group’s client, a leading AI Company, is seeking a Lifecycle & Growth Designer to support our ongoing lifecycle marketing and growth initiatives. In this role, you’ll serve as a crucial creative partner, handling the steady stream of design needs across lifecycle marketing—from building and maintaining design systems to designing for specific audience segments and newsletters to providing ongoing production support that keeps our lifecycle programs running smoothly.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners across Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to rapidly design and implement lifecycle experiences while maintaining high standards for visual quality, brand consistency, and user experience. This role requires someone who can balance systematic thinking with hands-on execution, moving quickly on operational requests while building scalable design systems that maintain the quality and integrity of our lifecycle communications. This is a hands-on design role that sits within our Brand Creative team, supporting both strategic design systems work and day-to-day production needs for lifecycle and growth marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain lifecycle design systems and component libraries that enable consistent, highquality communications at scale across email, in-product messaging, and other owned channels
- Design for specific audience segments and use cases, creating targeted email campaigns, newsletters, and lifecycle touchpoints for different user personas
- Provide ongoing production support for lifecycle marketing, responding to requests and implementing designs in a timely manner
- Respond to design requests from Growth Marketing stakeholders, scoping needs, creating designs, and iterating based on feedback and performance data Work within various lifecycle and marketing automation platforms to implement and maintain designs
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on design standards, brand application, and systematic approaches to lifecycle design
- Create templates and modular design frameworks that can be easily adapted across different campaigns and audience segments
- Handle requests with varying turnaround times, prioritizing effectively while maintaining design quality and following established brand guidelines
- Create and maintain design documentation including component libraries, style guides, and implementation specs
- Partner with Engineering and Marketing Operations teams on design implementation, ensuring seamless translation from Figma to production Incorporate performance data and A/B testing insights to iterate and optimize designs for conversion and engagement
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of design experience in the tech sector, with B2B and SaaS background
- Are proficient in Figma and experienced with building and maintaining design systems, components, variables, and systematic design approaches
- Can work independently to scope, design, and deliver lifecycle assets from stakeholder requests with minimal oversight
- Have handson experience implementing designs in lifecycle platforms and providing ongoing production support
- Have proven experience building scalable design systems for lifecycle marketing that maintain consistency while enabling flexibility
- Balance speed with quality, making pragmatic design decisions when facing competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Have experience working in crossfunctional environments and can translate business objectives into effective design solutions
- Understand email design best practices including responsive design, accessibility standards, and rendering across email clients
- Can communicate design decisions clearly to nondesign stakeholders and provide realistic timelines for delivery
- Are datainformed and use metrics to iterate and improve design performance across different audience segments
- Demonstrate attention to detail and take ownership of the quality and effectiveness of your designs
- Are excited about AI and eager to help people discover how it can transform their work
Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience with HTML/CSS and understanding of email code constraints and rendering limitations
- Background in conversion rate optimization and growth design
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Experience designing for complex technical products or AI/ML applications
- Familiarity with marketing analytics and A/B testing platforms
- Motion design or animation skills for email and web
- Experience designing for enterprise audiences and understanding their needs
- Knowledge of personalization and dynamic content strategies
- Understanding of design tokens and scalable design system architecture
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams on design implementation
Duration:
6+ month contract
Location: Remote – US
Compensation: $165/hr. W2
